Commenting on a Planning Application

The easiest way to comment is to use the CBC Public Access Website.  Make sure you provide your name, address and contact details because anonymous or unattributable comments cannot be taken into account.

This is what the Parish Council now does with each application it receives.

Use the Search capability or type in the Application reference if you have it. The Search will give you a list of Planning Applications to choose from.  Typing in the Application Reference will take you straight to the Application Details screen, anything else will show you a list of Applications which you can choose from. 

Use the tabs on the Application Details page to look at the Application, then click the Submit Comments button to comment on it. You can copy and paste Guidance from the West Hanningfield VDS Website into your comments.

 If you use Guidance from the VDS to support your comments they will carry more weight. Make sure you open your comments with the statement that the comments your are making are from the VDS.  Be sure to click on “Submit Comments” when you have finished.
